The Food Network Loves Buffalo

The Food Network cannot resist this beloved, carefully confected, sponge candy.

Buffalo’s own Watson’s Chocolates’ reputation for creating wonderful candy treats has led to a special appearance on the Food Network. Adding flavor to the second season of the nationally televised program Kid in a Candy Store, the local business will be featured in the episode “Crunch Time” tonight (Feb 21) at 8:30 pm. Watson’s Chocolates’ scrumptious sponge candy, declared by Buffalo Spree to be the best in the region, will be the focus of the Food Network’s attention.

Watson’s Chocolates has locations throughout the Western New York Area and have been in operation since 1946. You can visit them at http://www.watsonschocolates.com/.

Also recently cast on the Food Network were owner Zilly Rosen and head baker Shannon Pilarski of Zillycakes, Buffalo’s custom cake studio and only cupcake bar. During their almost two years of business, Zillycakes has competed in Nickel City cake competitions, released a zombie cupcake book, created more wedding and celebration cakes to count, invented deliciously unique cupcake flavors each month, began to offer macarons, and more. Keep an eye out for their episodes, airing dates to be announced. You can visit them at http://zillycakes.com/.
