And Another Thing…

According to this broadcast of the Capitol Pressroom, SUNY Chancellor Nancy “the Seductress” Zimpher, is all about math/hedge fund wiz James Simons (pictured second from the left) offering $150 million to SUNY Stony Brook—provided state lawmakers pass PHEEIA, pronto. Simons was once chairman of the math department at the school.

Some see it as a quid pro quo arrangement, others wonder if it resembles a bribe.

Maybe the offer is being made because Simons feels guilty for encouraging the school to invest with Bernie Madoff. Seems Simons eventually pulled his own money away from Madoff, but Stony Brook didn’t and lost a bundle. Why did Simons pull out? HE HAD CONCERNS ABOUT A LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AT MADOFF’S FIRM!
