Screaming Pineapples at Kenmore Days

Kenmore Days originated as a day at Crystal Beach, with tickets and transportation provided by the Kenmore Merchants Association.  Today, the event takes place predominantly at Mang Park, located between Elmwood Avenue and Military Road in the Village of Kenmore.  The three-day event, June 24-26, includes a carnival, live musical entertainment, an outdoor movie, rugby tournament, trolley tours, car show, and fireworks display.

This year’s pick of the crop happens this Friday at 7:30pm when Daryl Gallagher and the Screaming Pineapples take to the stage. According to AV correspondent John Duke, “Screaming pineapples are only grown in Malibu, California and are always picked on the summer solstice and sacrificed 100 hours later in Western New York. I’ve only seen this once before and the pineapple screams are deafening. It’s almost as if they knew what was coming…”
