David Nolf & Band: Raising Money for Black Rock Kids

There’s a big fundraiser tonight for the little leagues of Black Rock and Riverside, at the Polish Cadets Hall, at the corner of Amherst and Grant Streets, 5-10pm. Ten bucks at the door keeps the kids in uniforms and baseballs this summer, which is important: The adults who run the leagues fear that funding promised them by State Senator Antoine Thompson will never materialize. So our friends at the First Amendment Club organized this shindig to make up the difference, with an assist for Shredd & Ragan of 103.3 The Edge.

That $10 buys you pizza and beer and entertainment from David Nolf and his band, whose version of the Beatles’ “Taxman”—customized to lampoon Thompson—debuted last week on the Shredd & Ragan show.

Come for the kids. Stay for the music. Tonight at the Polish Cadets, 5-10pm.

Anthony Magnano (drums), David Nolf, Justin Tartick (guitar), and Justin Rizzo (bass).
