Sabres playoff tickets – yes they are available

The Buffalo Sabres are reporting that playoff tickets available for all four potential home games of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs are down to single seats. Sabres spokesman Mike Gilbert stated that the visiting Boston Bruins have not returned any of their ticket allotment.
Yet a ticket search this morning for Game 1 on the team’s online sales site, tickets.com, yielded a pair of seats in section 116. Priced at $158, Gilbert replied “I hope you bought ’em.” Then he added that the system might occasionally show a few returns from various sources, but the team is expecting sellouts for all its home games.
It’s a different story on ticket reseller Stubhub.com, where tickets are available in all price ranges, with starting prices at $58 in the 300s, $89 in the 100s and $138 in the clubs. Of course, there are commissions and service charges added to those prices by the site, but those prices still represent a savings over window prices.
At Craigslist, there are hundreds of listings of tickets for all the first round games. Sifting through some of the postings, it looks like the asking prices are way over face, although there are some bargains to be had as well. Craigslist being Craigslist, one has to take all of that noise with a grain of salt.
The bottom line? Tickets can be had for any of the games, and one does not need to break the bank to do so. Do your due diligence, keep checking tickets.com and the resale sites just mentioned along with eBay, and it won’t be that hard to land a seat in the building.
