Strip Joints Busted!

The Buffalo News reports that two suburban gentlemen’s clubs have been raided in a crack down on a heroin and cocaine ring.

According to the News report, “Drug prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s office are handling the case. Investigators include Buffalo FBI agents, State Police, agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Cheektowaga Police, Amherst Police, state parole officers, Erie County probation officers and Hamburg Police.”

Which has to be leaving area firemen, Coast Guard Reservists, parking violations officers, mailmen, TSA inspectors, Boy Scouts and private security guards feeling left out of the party.

No comment yet from Rick Snowden (pictured below with friends), owner of Rick’s Tally Ho, one of the joints that was raided.

Like “gaming,” the word casinos like to use to pretend that what they offer is somehow better than gambling, I always flinch at the phrase “gentleman’s club.” In this day and age it’s hard to define precisely what qualifies one as a “gentleman.” But I can’t help but feel that there is something distinctly un-gentlemanly about paying a substantially naked young woman to dance on your table while you stuff money into whatever garment she is wearing. I know, they’re all consenting adults, but let’s not kid ourselves that there is something dignified and respectable about getting drunk and paying a girl to grind in your lap.

I wish to make it very clear that I do not frequent either of the busted clubs, Tiffany’s and the many similar fleshpots of Ontario. Any rumors to the contrary are firmly greeted with a solid and affirmative “No Comment!”

You people must be crazy if you think that for one minute Mr. Snowden would risk his very profitable business by condoning drug activity and prostitution at any of his clubs. I know that Mr. Snowden has been a very diligent owner except for recently after his divorce he has been spending a lot of his time in Tennessee with his children and apparently when the cat is away well you get the gist of it. I am sure that Mr. Snowden well be taking charge of the clubs after this fiasco.
