YAK Car Pic of the Day – Buffalo Police Car Edition

Although I’ve never been in one, I’m sure many of you have memories of the cars of the Buffalo Police Department (at least, of the back seat!). There’s a great website, BPDthenandnow.com, which not only features photos of some of the cars from the past, but also other interesting historical facts of the BPD.  Once there you can also view the Officers’ Memorial, old badges (including a photo of the honorary BPD badge given to Frank Sinatra), and some amusing photos — my favorite being the burning patrol car in the parking lot of Dickie’s Donuts. You can check out the old police cars by clicking here.
