Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30pm, stop by the True Bethel Baptist Church (907 East Ferry) where all of the candidates but one have agreed to attend a forum organized by the Coalition for Economic Justice. Incumbent Florence Johnson has not yet confirmed her participation, according to an event coordinator.

Candidates will have 2-3 minutes to introduce themselves and present their ideas followed by questions from the audience.

These challengers have agreed to attend:

Patricia Devis
John B. Licata
Rosalind Hampton
Rebekah Williams
Fred Yellen
Bryon McIntyre

These incumbents have agreed to attend:

The school board election takes place two weeks from tomorrow. As Peter Simon writes in today’s Buffalo News, the election “will determine whether Superintendent James A. Williams can retain his slim majority on the board—or even keep his job.”
