2009 Citroën C6/1972 Citroën DS21
Anyone who’s ever watched a movie set in Paris somewhere in the late 1950s – 1970s has seen them. The iconic Citroën DS 21 motoring majestically around town like it owned the place. And as far as luxury French sedans went back in the day, it did own the place. After the DS went out of production there was really not a suitable replacement until a couple of years ago, when Citroën introduced the C6. From the photo you can see the influence of the DS somewhat in its styling. Although perhaps not quite as quirky-looking as the DS, the C6 these days is the car for the French exécutif to be seen in.

Although you cannot buy a Citroen C6 in the USA, 38,000 Citroen DS sedans and station wagons were sold in the USA up to about 1972. I found mine in Austin, TX in 1995 and still have it. Luxury!
