Antoine Thompson, Mastermind

U.S. Army Sergeant James L. Bill, NYS Senator Antoine M. Thompson, and U.S.

This evening State Senator Antoine Thompson will be sworn in for his second term in office at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society (25 Nottingham Court). The swearing-in begins at 7pm and is followed by a reception, free and open to the public.

Thompson earned a reputation for political savviness this past election season, particularly ion regard to his work to preserve State Senator Bill Stachowski’s seat. (One political operative close to that campaign called Thompson “the General.”)While businessmen, politicians, their first cousins, and other “agents of change” have taken credit for  for re-electing the 27-year incumbent, Thompson has refused to do so. His fellow Democrats in the State Senate know better…and so does Artvoice. The dynamics of that election might bear a recap soon.
