Here is something my research has come up with:

a typical coal plant emits 100 times more radiation than a nuclear plant, given the flyash emissions of radioactive particles.

Artvoice are there flyash emmisions that are radioactive at the Huntley Plant in Tonawanda? I don't know if there are no flyash emissions or not but this is a question that merits exploration.

Look at what the Huntley Power plant is doing to the health of people living in Tonawanda.

How appropiate that in todays Buffalo News next to the obituaries is an article about how the carcinogen benzene is being spewed into a residential neighborhood in Tonawanda.

"Benzene readings at all four monitoring sites exceeded not only the state standards used to regulate industry but also the statewide average" according to the Buffalo News article written by Janice L. Habuda

Here we have another Love Canal in our back yards caused by the Niagara Power Authority taking electricity that should be given to intended for Buffalo being sent off elsewhere. Buffalo needs electricity so it gets produced by coal and spreads cancer in a WNY community.

This is madness as is not moving WNY towards solar and wind generation of power, and in not demanding law makers to dedicate a substantial amount of the electricity generated by the Niagara Power Project to be provided to the City of Buffalo.

People are getting cancer in Tonawanda probably from environmental exposure to benzene from generating electricity from coal at the Huntley Plant. This is as backwards as CEO's from the big three automoble makers flying into Washington pan handling for billions. It is an outrage of stupidity and ignorance to maintain the status quo poisoning of a neighborhood in WNY.
