High School Principals to Williams: Get Out of Town

A friend called in to tell us that a friend called him just now with this news, which he heard third-hand: (Does that insulate our sources sufficiently from the fury of the Buffalo Public Schools administration?) Last night Buffalo’s association of public high school principals registered a unanimous vote of no confidence in Superintendent James A. Williams. The vote of no confidence follows closely on the heels of Williams’ announcement that he is staying in Buffalo; his contract (renewed last fall by an administration-friendly, outgoing board of education) runs through 2011. Williams had been a finalist for the superintendent’s job in Memphis, Tennessee. Word is, Williams is furious about this and has been burning up the phone lines, chewing out those principals he deems responsible for the measure. To which one might reply: Dr. Williams, the vote was, according to our sources, unanimous. UPDATE: The secondary school principals apparently asked the entire principals’ union to join them in taking a vote of no confidence in Williams. Buffalo Teachers Federation President Phil Rumore told Channel 4 News at Wednesday’s school board meeting that his executive committee might ask union members for a no confidence vote as well. If both those things happened, the only folks left in the district supporting Williams would be his cabinet and a handful of board members.

  • FIRE JAMES WILLIAMS IMMEDIATELY!!! HE HAS PROVEN HIS WORTHLESSNESS TO ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE BUFFALO CITY SCHOOL SYSTEM!!! NO MORE WASTE OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS.

  • BuffaloPublicSchool mess

Well what a joke. It really doesn’t matter that the teachers and now the administration don’t want Wms. around, does it…

When will the people and especially the media in Buffalo get what the real problem in this pitiful district is!

It’s the black women’s sorority. I apologize that I don’t know the name of it.

These women are running rampid in the district and they want Wms. to stay because they get the underhanded support they need from him.

When will someone bring attention to this power hungry group of women. They are out of control…

They have a majority on the board and they lie, cheat and deceive for each other.

Ruth Kapsiak was underhanded as Supervisor of Elementary Education and then this crazy city voted her into a board position, and now has been elected board president. She is really thinking that she’s all that! Just look at her expression and attitude. Did you get a load of her in her “manifesto” on the BPS website? http://www.buffaloschools.org/news.cfm?story=679

Why do you think that Crystal Barton got off by the board so easily? DUH, she’s a sorority girl. Who was it that proposed that the investigation into one of the McKinley issues be dropped? Ruth Kapsiak! What a surprise…

This sorority is devastating our already troubled school system. They are a power hungry bunch of women who will stop at nothing to show you who’s in charge!

I think that State Ed should get rid of this board and Wms.! They how will we figure out how to get rid of all the sorority girls in City Hall and in our schools! Anyone have any ideas?

  • paul

The sorority sisters do rule the roost, you are right. Kelli Daniels and Monica Peoples are members too, funny how they are at the root of the suspension manipulation at McKinley with their sorority sista Barton. let’s not forget Barton’s racsit comments in The Challenger, that propaganda piece of trash paper for the black community.

  • Frat Boy

What is the name of this sorority???

  • Bflolover

Williams is running around to the media stating that the vote never took place. At the SAME time, he’s saying that the principal of City Honors seconded the no confidence motion (for the unanimous vote that never took place). His source is wrong and that principal seconded another, separate, motion that evening.

  • your mom

The name of the SORORITY is “AKA” go figure….gangster.

  • paul

The Challenger News is not propaganda or trash. You want to say something like that in public then put your last name out in public too you coward. Holla.

  • jamie moses

The name of the sorority is Delta Sigma Theta… and yes, it includes Barton, Muriel Howard, Florence Johnson, Peoples…. a sort of community of “power women”

    http://www.deltasigmatheta.org/cms/

  • Liz Brown

For everyone’s information. The women you have mentioned belong to a number of organizations, one of which is Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. We do NOT resort to mayhem and coersion. We do, however, have an agenda of “Service to All Mankind” whereby we work tirelessly in the community. We read to your children, when you won’t, we provide scholarships (over $10,000 per year), we mentor, we clean your streets as part of “Adopt a Highway”, we stand on corners at 5 o’clock in the morning in the cold, selling the Buffalo News as part of Kid’s Day, and many other endeavors, too numerous to mention. We are women of integrity and strength. People tend to equate that to “power hungry”.The sorority has not taken a stand on these city issues so back off until you know what your’re talking about. They are independent women making their own decisions.

  • your mom

Yeah, we are sure you do alot of good things, but seems like it’s used as an inside connection for people like Barton who abuse everything. ANd by the way, The Challenger IS propaganda, poorly written trash that promotes division and separatism. Spare us the sob story about it’s another side of the news….it won’t float, although something else floats that the The Challenger is full of…

  • your mom

BY THE WAY DOES “SERVICE TO MANKIND’ mean lying a stripping a kid of their civil rights? Oh, gotcha, that kind of mankind.

  • james daye

I need some servicing! The younger the better!

  • spare me

The Challenger is considered by anyone with an education to be a frivolous joke.

  • BuffaloPublicSchools mess

Hey Liz Brown: are you kidding? You can go on and on trying to convince everyone of all your merits but guess what: you’re full of it!

Anyone, especially whites, in the employ of the Buffalo Public Schools, knows about all the good service to mankind that your group of hoodlums does.

You are all a bunch of self serving, power hungry vermin who need to be exterminated!

If you think just because you do a few good things in the community that it makes up for all the havok your group inflicts on all the outsiders in the BPS, you are crazy!

I have seen things that your sorority girls do that in the real world, that is not controlled by you and your gals, would be punished by the law.

You all think you are above the law and this issue with McKinley is just the tip of the iceberg!

Oh by the way, what ever happened with the issue of the what, I think it was, oh let’s see: $5000 that Barton cannot account for.

Oh that’s right, Kapsiak swept that one under the rug too.

I’m sick to death of you sorority thugs getting away with all you can.

I think you all better lay low for a while because people out there in law enforcement and the media and the unions and the public are on to you!

Watch you pretty little asses, all dressed up in your pretty little suits, looking like you’re all that.

All that you are is vermin, stealing the education from innocent children who really need a lot more than being read to by an ignorant bunch of women who want to throw their power around…

  • Liz Brown

My organization is open to any investigation you want to lodge. Just be sure YOU don’t end up on the wrong side of the law with your slanderous rhetoric. If you feel these women are representing AKA in their dealings with the BPS system then show proof. Where did they put AKA on anything. They are independent contractors doing whatever you feel they are doing. It’s all on their own. Do not lump all the BPS dealings with my sorority. There are 200,000 AKA women in the world and we do not concern ourselves with things going on in Buffalo New York and the BPS. You don’t seem to be able to understand the concept that these women would be doing just what you feel they are doing whether they belonged to my sorority or not. Again, they belong to many other organizations. I think a few of you have an ax to grind specifically with AKA. Didn’t qualify, won’t date you, or whatever your reason…grow up, get your head out of “the clouds” and realize that there is no AKA conspiracy going on in this city. WE will continue to dress up, look up, live up, and try to improve our communities. And to “BuffaloPublicSchools mess”, specifically. You need help and some therapy. You have many issues and racism is one of them.I can name many AKA’s in the BPS system who have not done anything to you and probably don’t even know you. Try prayer or pills but for God’s sake…get some help.

  • BuffaloPublicSchools mess

    Hey Liz,

I have personally seen women from the sorority lie, cheat and cover for each other. Their arrogance about what they do is outrageous. They will laugh right in your face when you call them on it and walk away laughing about how they continuously get away with their mob mentality behavior.

Women who are outside of the sorority do not get the same safeguards as sorority girls do.

    How do you explain that?

I have seen sorority girls give other sorority girls the heads up on issues so that they all have the story straight.

I am not a racist yet with a group of power hungry women such as this, it’s difficult not to have such strong feelings toward a bunch of thugs.

If white women were doing the same thing, I would feel just as passionate about their behavior.

How can you explain the definite racial divide on the BOE proper? Do you not observe how your girls treat, oh let’s see, oh yea, specifically the whites (excluding Jacobs of course) who are on the board.

I have seen Viv, Ruth and the girls verbally attack Penepinto, Hernandez and Petrucci with such hostility that it sickens me. No matter black, white or purple, this behavior from adults is nauseating! Not to mention, embarrassing in front of the youth of this city.

If these women are truthfully such upstanding citizens, then what’s with this public behavior? I can only imagine what goes on when the public isn’t watching.

Do you not see what so many others see?

Why not consider suspending their membership with your sorority because of their outlandish behavior?

Do you think they are representing AKA in a positive light?

I certainly do not see that they are…

This group of women should be an embarrassment to black women everywhere!

In addition to what goes on during the publicly viewed BOE meetings, what goes on in City Hall and especially the school buildings themselves, is an injustice to the youth of this city, not to mention the taxpayers!

There may possible be some of your organization’s members who have their heads in the right place but it is these women in the BPS who are giving your group a bad reputation.

Maybe someone should contact your national headquarters and report the outrageous behavior of some of your members. Maybe then these thugs won’t give your organization such a bad name!

  • Liz Brown

To BuffaloPublicSchools mess: Well, well, well, now you’ve done it. You have just described the behavior of white men-FOR CENTURIES. Strangely enough, we (black women) have had to suck it up and keep working our butts off just to stay on a level playing field. Now you’re complaining because a few of those “sista” as you previously called them, have allegedly bonded in an effort to be “visible” in this city. They are just girls being girls, and by the way, not all of them are sorority girls. I’m getting the feeling that perhaps someone has disenfranchised you somehow and the only information you could discover regarding them was that some of them are members of AKA. Do your homework. They belong to a number of important organizations. If they all belonged to the Junior League, would you be maligning the Junior League? I think not! That’s why I feel you are already a racist. And by the way, white women ARE doing the same thing and have been. You say “they” laugh at you, well think about it, if black folks are laughing at you…then white folks have been laughing at you too. We don’t usually take the lead on insensitivity, we learn it from the majority culture. I am not taking up for these ladies, I am taking up for my sorority because you don’t seem to be capable of separating them from it. Now, it’s been real, but I’m going to have to bow out of the “pissing match”, because that’s all it is. You have your opinion and should probably keep it to yourself. Remember, AKA did not put anyone up to anything. I respectfully do however, admonish you to “show cause or shut-up”.

  • Frat Boy

Yes, your sorority has done a great job of aligning itself with Arthur Eve, protecting that thug Barton, who calls Kelli Daniels to really stick it to Jayvonna, then Monica Peoples getting in on the act too. Oh wait, isn’t Kapsiak a member as well? She’s doing a great job holding the Supt. accoutable, for sure. Isn’t FloJo a member as well? She did a fabulous job at Williams’ fair evaluation that they took away from Hernandez to make sure and smooth it over for the big guy…great job, great service to mankind….Oh by the way, isn’t Fran Wilson a member too when she tried to fudge a restraining order to protect a gangster thug kid and hang the teacher out to dry until the Judge caught wind of it? Great service to mankind. Excellent job. Here here for the ladies, AKA is a joke. Absolute JOKE.

  • Frat Boy

Let’s not even get into the Racist garbage. Who is exclusive and better than everybody else? let’s think? What a joke, everytime someone calls these people on their sh** then it’s a racist junk argument. Please. spare us the bull.

  • Liz Brown

Attention Frat Boy. Half the people you have mentioned are NOT in my sorority. Therefore, I really don’t care to discuss anything with you. I was at least having a somewhat intelligent conversation with BuffaloPublicSchools mess. Read the previous messages and you will see why racism was mentioned by me. Also, in case you missed it…the people you are referring to are operating on their own. They are not carrying AKA badges when they allegedly do what you say they allegedly do. I will also admonish you to “show cause or shut up”.

  • Frat Boy

Hey Liz, what exactly does your “sorority” do? What kind of service to mankind? Is it service just to black men or all men? Centuries of racism? Agreed, but you do a wonderful job of helping to break those barriers down by bringing it up everytime a black person does something stupid. Great excuse, as usual. What else is new? Where can we find the list of your membership roster if you are all so upstanding and dedicated to the betterment of society, I mean to just the black people. What kind of services to mankind are yu providing for the gang culture? What kind of service to mankind are you providing the countless illegitimate children, single teen mothers and absentee fathers? What kind of service to mankind are you doing to hold the men in your community accountable for the babies they are producing and dumping into the public schools? What about mending relations between people instead of digging in deeper into the roots of racism which you speak?

  • your mom

Yeah, we all want to know what your sorority does besides hand out Kid’s Day papers once a year or work tirelessly to fill your own pockets like Barton did with the Pop money. Daniels, Peoples, Kapsiak are in the same sorority, so let’s find that membership roster and check it out. We all want to know what the organization does besides really give it to problem kids, steal pop money, bully and blindside the board and act like they have no idea what we are talking about when asked, then hide behind your color when any questions are asked.

  • erika badu

Where do we get those AKA “badges”? Do you carry them like the po-po?

  • malcolm x

Hey George, have you ever read The Challenger? It appears to be written by illerates, is totally one-sided racist propaganda that should be illegal for such trash to get printed, especially to have Barton yapping away on school time about how great she is, how innocent she is and what a fabulous person she is, oh, wait, Black person-she made that very clear. Oh wait, in case any one was wondering, Jayvonna is The Black Student, Stiles is The White coach….please, spare us the crap about how the challenger is anything but garbage. It should be used to train puppies and start fires.

  • Artvoice is All White

Jamie Moses, In your June 4 Artvoice article about the BPS you complain as follows about the Buffalo business community:

“If the business community is so concerned with the educations and well-being of Buffalo’s public school students, they could begin by creating training programs for minority children and start giving people jobs.”

What about the Artvoice business that you own? The two dozen local staff names you list on Page 2 look to be all, or almost all, white Buffalonians. Is there any good reason to not practice what you preach? Or are you a hypocrite and really don’t believe in racial affirmative action but just like to pretend that you do when criticizing others?

To meet the 40% portion of Buffalo’s population that’s non-white, you should promptly replace apparently around 10 or so of your staff members.

  • spare me

Send applicants for qualified writers, photogrpahers, freelancers, musci critics and any other creative ideas? Do any black people walk into artvoice and apply for a job? Last I checked, people have to pick up a pen and fill out an application or hand in a resume listing their skills, education level and volunteer work and/or hobbies, oh, don’t forget the professional mission statement at the top that’s optional.

  • All That

Let’s hire Folasade Oladele, that’s not a “white” name. It’s actually a made up name. Like Cassius Clay changed his name to Mohammed Ali, and how Robert Zimmerman changed his to Bob Dylan and that gujy from Law & Order changed his to Ice-T, and don’t forget Eminem and 50-cent. What names are you looking for on the artvoice page? Talk about racist. What kind of name are you looking for? Kahil Gibran? Ghandi? Laquisha? Mao? Ali? Tyrone?

  • Erika Badu

    You better call Tyrone…

  • frat boy

Liz Brown, now that’s a white name.

  • frat boy

Wait a minute where is Latrell?

  • BuffaloPublicSchools mess

    Dear Liz,

In your first post on this blog you stated that: “…we stand on corners at 5 o’clock in the morning in the cold, selling the Buffalo News as part of Kid’s Day.”

Today in the Buffalo News, they thanked the volunteers who participated in Kids Day on Thursday, April 29th. On page A7 there is only 1 AKA sorority sister listed: Josephine Cross.

I’m wondering if you got your information wrong about standing out in the cold for the children of Buffalo.

This is not a very good showing for AKA is it?

  • frat boy

thinking liz got p.o.’d and left, too much heat in the kitchen here…those sororities go on vacation together, maybe she went on a cruise? What else could explain her deafeneing silence ?

  • BuffaloPublicSchools mess

Maybe Liz is still standing out in the cold!!!

  • Artvoice is All White

This doesn’t sound like affirmative action. It sounds like the historically under-represented groups are being accused of lacking ambition:

“Send applicants for qualified writers, photogrpahers, freelancers, musci critics and any other creative ideas? Do any black people walk into artvoice and apply for a job? Last I checked, people have to pick up a pen and fill out an application or hand in a resume listing their skills, education level and volunteer work and/or hobbies, oh, don’t forget the professional mission statement at the top that’s optional.”

Don’t you have a societal responsibility to ensure racial diversity through outreach and setting aside a fair portion of your work force to various groups?

Any where is the Artvoice training program specific to minorites?

It sounds like Jamie Moses has a much weaker set of practices for his own Buffalo business than he demands for the Buffalo business community as a whole (as he ranted in his June 4 Artvoice article about the BPS):

“If the business community is so concerned with the educations and well-being of Buffalo’s public school students, they could begin by creating training programs for minority children and start giving people jobs.”

Doesn’t the above complaint by Jamie Moses sound like it would apply quite fittingly to Artvoice?

  • BuffaloPublicSchools mess

    Hey Artvoice is All White:

I believe that the way JAWs describes the way the BPS hires teachers is that they, “…hire the most qualified applicants for the jobs.”

I feel certain that if someone who was non-white and qualified for an open position at Artvoice, that that applicant would be given consideration for the job.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove.

To tell you the truth, I was not raised to be prejudiced, intolerant or racist and have always been proud of my support for minorities, but to tell you the truth, I’m getting a little tired of African Americans crying, “If you’d been discriminated against for as long as we have.” “We have the right to because of what our forefathers went through and fought for.”

Even Liz Brown (above) who after all her ranting and raving about AKA finally came clean and said, “… Well, well, well, now you’ve done it. You have just described the behavior of white men-FOR CENTURIES. Strangely enough, we (black women) have had to suck it up and keep working our butts off just to stay on a level playing field.”

    Her statement tells all!

  • frat boy

Hey All White, why in the year 2008 would a little art paper provide “training” for minorities? They don’t have the time or monies, nor are they an education entity. Why doesn’t the Buffalo News provide training programs to teach minorities to read, write and apply for jobs? You are in La La Land if you are actually trying to make the argument that minorities are left out of the loop. Last I checked, ANYONE can apply to college, get a four year degree and apply for a job at any business in the country. Spare us the minority moan about unfair practices. If we want black writiers and jouranlists, then they have to go to school, get a degree and apply. If we want black teachers, last I checked they are hired first, but one needs to take one’s rear off a front porch and into a classroom, take notes and pass exams, then they give you that little piece a paper called a “degree”. Give me a break. Why don’t you ask The Challenger how many whites work there? Why don’t they have an outreach training program to encourage white people to apply? Please, you are so weak its pathetic. The argument is moot, education is the answer for all people, no matter what color you are. Idiot.

  • joe

Whose “societal responsibility” is it to ensure education opportunities for all ? Minorities are not responsible for ensuring thier children’s education/ Is the minority culture practicing high expectations of higher education and parental responsibility (especially Fatherhood)? Who is actually taking societal responsibility for their own children in their own neighborhoods? There are no plantation owners here except James Williams and Bob Wilmers.

  • Just a global response to the “malcolm x”‘s and other psuedonymynous cowards who diss The Challenger. The ENTIRE staff of the fartvoice, from the receptionist all the way up to Massa Jamie Moses, KNOWS that they have CENSORED me from their rag on the internet and in print. Furthermore, I’ve even been censored by one of their “top journalists”, Michael NEED AH MAHN, and he HATES Red China Commy censorship! So before you go talking shit about The Challenger Newspaper, which has a REAL History and Meaningful Presence in the City of Buffalo,, you need to check yourself “anonymous”. Why don’t you take your “courageous” criticism to the Letters to the Editor of The Challenger and then wait to see what BLACK PEOPLE WHO MATTER think about your bitch ass “opinion” of The Challenger News.

  • malcolm x

Wow, another example of higher education at work on behalf of The Challenger, “bitch ass”, not to mention that the leading paper in Buffalo censors all sorts of stories to meet the Republican agenda. Spare us your “global response” which really is another glaring example of narrow minded, blaming, racist mindset on behalf of those in this community who are dedicated to division. George, maybe you have been censored because of using language like “bitch ass” and only SOME BLACK PEOPLE MATTER but obviously not others according to your tantrum above. And by the way what “real history” does the Challenger cover? How Mrs. Barton calls people “white” like it’s an insult? And radio talk hosts “racist”? Spare us, your argument is so transparently spohmoric it’s sad.

  • joe

Hey George, maybe if you didn’t use words like “diss” your thoughts may get some print. Take an English class, not Ebonics, you’ll feel better about yourself.

  • erika badu

Is the root word of “ebonics” ebony? You better call Tyrone….

  • Hey George, I personally and singularly “censored” you, acting alone without the direction or permission of ANYBODY, and I’m not afraid to state that right here out in the open. We’ve had this discussion and you know exactly why some of your comments in the past were removed… so stop trying to spin it like some sort of racially biased conspiracy to keep you down.

As I’ve already explained to you, if you want to post something relevant to the actual story or discussion taking place, by all means go for it… nobody has any interest in stopping you. Frankly, its a waste of my time to have to clean up after you… I’d prefer to not have to delete anything.

When you rant completely off the topic at hand, and do nothing but hurl personal insults and throw racial slurs around – completely lacking substance and just to see what you can get away with, I’m going to treat your comments as spam… and its the same thing I do when other spammers drop by and try putting up totally irrelevant links to “overseas pharmacies” and porn websites… I delete them. Its only fair to everyone else who can actually string intelligent thoughts together and take the time to share them, that their ideas aren’t diluted with off-topic irrelevant nonsense or spam.

Simple as that. It’s not censorship. Its maintenance of my website. Stay on topic and stay at least somewhat civil and you can share all the opinions you want – who agrees with who or not, be it Artvoice or its readers – doesn’t really matter to me personally… I’m just trying to keep the discussion lanes clear of debris… and you’re nothing but a cyber vandal.

    -Anthony (AV webmaster)

  • spare me

WHY WOULD THE ARTVOICE BE RESPONSIBLE for “training” minorities? What is THAT train of thought? Why would any one be responsible for “training” anyone except for the individual who wants to be trained? Oh my God. You have got to be kidding? Let’s see who offers training to minorities? What sense of entitlement is that? Why doesn’t artvoice offer meals to the homeless as well? Why don’t they make issues in brail for the blind? Why don’t they have an issue printed in spanish? Please. Go away Georgie you are an idiot.

  • malcolm x

Can I get a Witness! Yes Sir Anthony, thank you! Does the chellenger have a comment blog ? Do they even have a website?

  • Well, this has certainly been fun to read. Good job Anthony. And regarding Artvoice and minority training, we have trained several minority students through internships from just about every college in the area over the years, and that means Asian, Hispanic, Black, and others. We have also hired. But regardless of that, the comment in my article about the “business community” training and hiring was intended more for the construction trades, banking, real estate, developers etc., and not intended for small businesses. But beyond that, the larger point was that turning the school district’s choosing of a new superintendent over to business men, with a failed history, seemed dubious at best.

  • Hey Ant What’s up?!

Wasn’t talking about OR criticising YOU man. Actually, for the record, I had ONE brief moment of NOT being completely censored by your rag when you responded to one of my postings. Being censored NOW by fartvoice, whether you’re doing it for the reasons you state or not, doesn’t bother me any more or less than it did before. If, for example, you want to “interpret” what I send you as a rant, in order to protect your targeted demographic, that’s your business. You, of course, continue to ignore the factual content of what I say because you all are a bunch of cowards with no real journalistic integrity. But it’s cool, cuz, everybody gotta get a paycheck from someplace. By the way, I might jus’ be able to stay mo’ on “topic”, massa ant, iffin you all whiteys would let me e-mail you from my home computer! See, in your “not censoring” me I have to send you e-mails from a Buffalo Public Library computer. Am I REALLY that much of a threat to all you “legit” journalists?

  • One last one Massa. Why didn’t you “manage” away into cyber oblivion the cracks your approved “editorialists” made about The Challenger? If you have any courage or any semblance of integrity you would look back and see that if ANYTHING was “off topic” it was the pathetic attempt to criticise The Challenger. How come you din’nt say something about the “uncivil” crap those anonymous cowards posted but you censored what I’VE said about pretty much everything?

  • Artvoice is All White

Look, you guys, frat boy, spare me, others: your implication that it’s a level playing field doesn’t hold water after Jamie Moses himself wrote this in his June 4 Artvoice article about the BPS:

“If the business community is so concerned with the educations and well-being of Buffalo’s public school students, they could begin by creating training programs for minority children and start giving people jobs.”

Notice above he admitted in his words the need for businesses to create “TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR MINORITY CHILDREN”. He, Jamie Moses, wrote and published in Artvoice an admission that the programs must be for minorities. So that should answer your questions about why it’s Artvoice Inc.’s responsibility to do that.

Artvoice is a business… part of the Buffalo business community… and now you guys are saying the color blind approach is perfectly fine. Huh? If the color blind approach is perfectly fine, wouldn’t there be a significant amount of employees of color among the Artvoice staff? As we can see from the list published every week in the paper, that’s not so. Not even close.

How is it that what JM wrote isn’t hypocritical if he continues to deny the need for outcome-based outreach and training program, apprenticeships, etc. funded by Artvoice as part of their corporate responsibility?

I’m holding him accountable for what HE said on June 4 in Artvoice is needed.

  • village idiot

Whatever. George is an absolute joke. That guy needs a job for real. No wonder he’s so mad, he’s gotta go to the library to rant away about the injustices against him in the world. Wear a foil hat George and crack a book on understaning the human race, not the black race, it’ll help block out the poisonous messages you are getting from The Challenger.

  • Kanye West

    George Doesn’t Like Black People

Mr. White, aren’t you forgetting that people of color have to actually go in and apply for jobs, with resumes and letters of intent? Are you foregetting that vital part of the employment picture? Maybe amie should ride his bike down Bailey or Shumway to seek out some new writes, photographers, journalists, etc. What the hell are you even trying to say? Save it for the Challenger where they like to blame color for everything that is wrong in the USA

  • Rodney King

Can’t we all get along? Can I sue ArtVoice ? Does anyone have Cariol Horne’s Lawyer’s # or do I send a pigeon to Jamaica?

  • village idiot

The Challenger is seeking white writers who make grammatical errors, write great run on sentences and are racist to fit in with present staff. Please send resumes immed for Crystal Barton to review.

  • Kanye,

I’m an Equal Opportunity Racist I DON’T LIKE ALL WHITE PEOPLE EQUALLY!!!

If I have to get to know ANY of you people (just to get along so I can basically ignore your asses and mind my bizniss, not to try and be one big happy human family with you crackers you understand) I merely end up disliking some of you less than others so I can get by.

And I ain’t too crazy about black people either your right.

    YO RODNEY!!!

NO WE CAN’T FUCK ALL WHITE PEOPLE!!! AND FUCK HER PIGEON HEAD LAWYER!!!

  • village idiot

Wow, Georgie can’t take the heat in the kitchen. Easy there, you might blow a clogged artery. Irrational person in the forum, please advise. Cariol, can you respond? Deep troubles run amok in shallow brains.

  • Nanny

Someone please hand me a diaper, I have to change George’s poopy pants.

  • village idiot,

You obviously are one what the hell are you talking about? Can you just follow the conversation going on here?

    Nanny,

village idiot is the one with the poopy pants so go stick your hands down his and keep your hands outta mines.

  • malcolm x

poor George. Let’s pray for him.

  • malcolm x

    Mines are in Kentucky.

  • “malcolm x”

As long as it ain’t to white jesus.

  • Artvoice is All White

“What the hell are you even trying to say?”

Kayne, I’m holding the Artvoice business owner accountable for what on June 4 in Artvoice HE WROTE SHOULD BE DONE!!!

Get it? Jamie Moses himself wrote in Artvoice, which he owns, that Buffalo businesses should be “creating training programs for minority children and start giving people jobs.”

See? Artvoice is a Buffalo business whose 20 person staff is all or almost all white! And you’re saying that’s the fault of the minority community? Say what???

Where’s the minority-specific hiring program at the Buffalo business known as Artvoice? The kind of thing Moses himself said is needed from Buffalo businesses? Moses should start one or retract his June 4 statement about what he feels *other* (all except Artvoice) Buffalo business should to.

    Caucasian hypocrisy!

  • Kanye West

Oh I get it, there shoud be more outreach and training to pull young minority kids into business opportunites, like the Fruit Belt gang does, I think Jamie was probably referring to the larger companies than run and ruin this city, not his little paper he started by rubbing 2 nickels together and now that it has grown in its success through dedication and hard work, now that he has an entire 20 staffers who basically work for free, now he should go and train young minority kids. Isn
‘t that the job of the public schools? I am sure if the Artvoice continues to grow they would invest time into training as they are always seeking other sides of stories and the truth, but for now they operate on an advertisment budget, not much left for comprehensive EEOP ….What businesses in the community create training programs FOR FREE and spend time training youngsters that have a dinky staff and next to nothing budget for all this extra expenditure? Please, you are taking a sentence out of context and going on the attack and it looks it, more blame from that side of the sob story about opportunities taken by the damned white man. Why don’t we hear American Indians on here crying? What about the Hispanic people, they seem busy trying to mobilize, not crying about how the white man is to blame for their problem today. God, this argument is so OLD. Why don’t you organize some young writers and journalists and go set up a eeting with ArtVoice staffers and present an idea on how to get them more involved? Why don’t you ever have any solutions, just sickening blame that sounds like a broken motown record.

  • Kanye West

PS Talk about Hypocrisy…Do YOU have any ideas instead of pointing a finger at a hard working self made guy? Wisdom is to know what battles to choose. You won’t win this one.

  • Kanye West

Hey George, Jesus was a middle eastern jewish guy, probably olive or biege in color.. I bet you don’t even like the Crosby show…Racist angry little man with no life. So sad, sucks to be you. Did you go to college? When people take your snapshot do you flash gang signs? Why do you hate the world so much? Why don’t you move to France like Miles Davis did?

  • Rodney King

I know why we cna’t get along, because of people like George who ruin it for everyone. Does anyone have Cariol’s lawyers #????

  • George Winfield

“I bet you don’t even like the Crosby show…”

It’s the COSBY show. duh. and no, your’re right I didn’t like it.

    “I know why we cna’t get along…”

It’s because dummies like you can’t spell CAN’T.

  • kanye west

OOOO hurt me. Go listen to Bill Cosby’s speech about how black people are ruining themselves. You are the poster child for his message. “duh”, you”re favorite word is “CAN’T” then you don’t have to take repsonsibility for anything…easy way out as usual. Keep on blaming, it’ll work out for you in the end. I bet no one around you wants to hear it anymore so you rant your teenage anger on the net, thinking you are fighting some kind of crusade, when in reality you are running from yourself and your own shortcomings because you CAN’T. I am starting to feel sorry for you. Do you have health insurance? You needs meds…

  • OK folks… this conversation has run its course, drifted far off topic, and has degenerated to name calling and insults… locking the comments here, next topic please…
