Tonight is the Artvoice Best of Buffalo party at the Town Ballroom (681 Main St.), 6p.m. - 9 p.m. Winners will be announced in categories from chicken wings to car dealers, cocktail lounges to TV news anchors. Artvoice readers have chosen what they love best about WNY. Come along for some great food from nominated restaurants, live music by Babik, the Stripteasers, and DJs Li’l Joe and Lady Atram.

i dont understand artvoice? once again it lets it readers down by selecting winners that were not even nominated best new restuant section the winner was not nominated how could that happen

That was an editing error, for which I apologize. Black and Blue had been eliminated from the top 5 because someone identified it as a chain; however, it was reinstated when we realized it is a regional chain, based in Rochester, and the Western New York restaurant was only its second outpost. However, the reinstatement to the top 5 did not make it into the print paper last week, because of our editorial negligence. Sorry about that.
