Edward Glaeser on resurrecting Buffalo

Edward Glaeser
Edward Glaeser is coming to town. He’s the Harvard economist whose essay in the Autumn 2007 issue of City magazine argued Buffalo should get used to being small, because the city would never—and should never—rebound. (Title: “Can Buffalo Ever Come Back? Probably not—and government should stop bribing people to stay there.”)

The UB Regional Institute is hosting a forum on April 18 at WNED titled Resurrecting Buffalo.

Glaser’s essay spawned this reaction from AV columnist Bruce Fisher. Dave Torke at Fix Buffalo has some links to interesting threads on the article here.
